Free ONE-DAYHealthcare and Benefits Calculator Training on Work and Disability

Training Goal

Training participants receive knowledge and planning techniques on how youth and adults with a disability can access and retain needed benefits after paid work begins.Learn from Case Studies using DB101 Benefits Planning Calculators how paid work affects health care and benefits such as SSI. We train using Benefits Calculators available now on www.db101.org.

We will review public and private health and income support programs, including Medi-Cal's California Working Disabled Program and In-Home Supportive Services, and how these programs work with employment and vocational services. The training offers updates on new rules including the 2008 relaunch of the New Social Security Ticket to Work Program. Monterey County residents with disabilities will share their employment story with training participants (time permitting).

Bring Your Organization's Brochures and Outreach Materials for the Training Resource Table.
